As an air cadet you can take part in seven main sports at different levels – athletics, cross country, football, rugby, hockey, netball andswimming. Whatever you do it’ll help improve your physical fitness levels and your team skills.
London Wing holds frequent tournaments between squadrons, where the best players are selected to represent the wing. The same then happens for the region, with wings competing against each other and the best players making up the regional team. The very best players will represent the Air Cadets nationally, and even internationally.
Many squadrons run an even wider variety of sport activities, such as tennis, volleyball, 5-a-side football, and even archery. So, even if you’re not a world-class athlete, you will still have an opportunity to play different team sports and have fun at squadron.
