Drill is a powerful aid to discipline, and is used by Armed Forces across the world for that purpose: this purpose also applies to the Air Cadets.  Air Cadet Squadrons in London teach drill as part of their day-today training programme. It helps instil a sense of pride, alertness, precision and a readiness; it is also a lot of fun with units creating their own continuity drill sequences often set to popular music!

Air Cadets are often called upon to represent the Air Cadet Organisation, and indeed the Royal Air Force in providing its “light blue footprint” at ceremonial parades throughout the year.  These include commemorative parades to remember events such as the Battle of Britain, The Lord Mayor’s Show, Remembrance Sunday and many Royal events across the whole of London.
